Men in Mind is a practical, evidence-informed training program that gives mental health and primary care professionals the skills and confidence to connect with men more effectively and keep them engaged in care.

Extrapolating from the AIHW % of accessing different service types, the number of Australian men who accessed services in the preceding year before they died by suicide: 87% (any health service): 2,198 men accessed services but died by suicide in 2024.

How long does the course take to complete?

It’s a self-paced, online course that will take around 1 hour to complete. For this trial version, we have a series of feedback questions for you to complete, so allow a bit more time to respond to these. Your honest feedback is greatly appreciated.

How many CPD points will I be eligible for?

This trial version of the course is not yet accredited, but full accreditation for your professional body is coming. Please confirm with your relevant professional body in the meantime.

What resources are included in the training?

Along with the videos and reflective exercises, you’ll learn a practical framework that you can implement into your day to day practice straight away. There’s also research articles and supporting evidence to give you more in-depth insights.

Is the course based on research and evidence?

Yes. The research underpinning Men in Mind has been published in peer reviewed journals. You can access the research summaries here.

How long will I have access to the course for?

You will have access to the course for six months from the date of registration.

I don’t work in Australia, is this course for me?

Men in Mind is a professional training program suitable for a global audience. However, currently it’s only available to residents in Australia. Other countries are coming soon — register your interest to nominate your country and to stay informed.
